Imagine having a gang approach you and your friends and family at a back yard Bar B Que one weekend. They come over and decide they want to just beat on everyone there because they feel good when they do it.
So they punch your girlfriend, kick the dog, push your parents down and deck everyone else. Then for good measure they kick you in the teeth and leave.
Now you call the police (politicians, Greenpeace, Al Gore) and they tell you that they have a solution. The gang promises to buy “Peace” credits as an offset, every time they act violently. They get them from the church goers down the street.
So now all is well. Anyone that is harmed from now on can rest assured that no real harm was done, because “Peace Credits” were purchased, from friends of the Politicians of course, and a likely healthy kick back to them.
Nothing changed and all the while, honest people (businesses) that made mistakes will be punished and big world-wide mafia type and UN legalized gangs, in say China will continue to bully without any consequences. They don’t even need Peace Credits!
What an insulting kick in the teeth to businesses and the environment.
